Can NRIs buy residential plots in India?
Yes. NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) and OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) can freely purchase residential and commercial properties in India under FEMA regulations. The restriction applies only to agricultural land, plantation property, and farmhouses — which TrueYards does not list.
Which bank account do I use to pay?
Payment must come from an NRE (Non-Resident External) or NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) account, or via inward remittance through normal banking channels. NRE is preferred if you want full repatriation of principal and gains. We walk you through the routing before any payment is made.
Can I repatriate the sale proceeds back abroad?
